Flexible schedules: The key to work-life balance

As radiologists move through different phases of careers and life, they may want to vary their work commitments

Maybe one radiologist wants to pick up extra shifts to pay down the mortgage faster, while another needs more time with their young kids or aging parents and wants to scale back their commitments.

Many of our partners have opted for 3 or 4 day work-weeks to better accomodate their other life priorities.

We also have a great deal of flexibility in vacation scheduling. All partners are guaranteed 10 weeks vacation per year regardless of work model.

If you want to work more, there are often opportunities to pick up extra work locally, and a subset of our partners take frequent advantage. Some of our partners also choose to locum part time in underserviced communities in BC and abroad, and our group does not impose an exclusivity clause on partners (a common practice in most large corporate groups in Canada).

We believe maintaining flexible work models is important for staff retention and career satisfaction.
